It's day 3, and the ambassadors couldn't be more excited. With purpose in their walk and the PMA (Positive Mental Attitude) overflowing they set off on the day's adventures
Starting the day with a career breakfast, the ambassadors went around the cafeteria in which a variety of adults with varying professions were sitting. The ambassadors picked their brains and in the course of doing so, learned more about what profession they may want to pursue.
They then learned how to start a movement. Phase 3 of Sarah Koehn's three part leadership course. They identified goals for their school and brainstormed ways to make the goals achievable, with the hopes that the HOBY magic can spread past the K-state campus.
Next, the ambassadors sat in on a panel of professionals in the energy industry. This topic had the students eager to learn about all facets of the industry.
As tweeted by Aesha, ambassador from St. Paul High School:
"That energy panel was so interesting #hobyks #lovedit," After a group picture that, with over 200 people, the ambassadors had a presentation to watch. The speaker: Ray Boese, the topic: making those kids who feel invisible, visible. The presentation spoke to many and hopefully inspired good deeds to be done.
After a long day of leadership training, the students are eager for the HOBY dance where they intend to cut a rug on a rugless dance floor (impressive). No doubt, more fun is to be had and more memories to be made.
