VOLUNTEER!
Each year, HOBY Kansas hosts over 200 high school students on the beautiful Kansas State University campus for a four day leadership seminar. It is the effort of countless volunteers and their individual passion that makes the HOBY Kansas Seminar one of the most educational, empowering experiences for the students who attend. We are always looking for new volunteers, so if you are interested in impacting tomorrow's leaders, please let us know via the CONTACT page! There are 3 main groups of volunteers that help plan the HOBY Kansas seminar:
- Junior Staff
- HOBY Kansas alumni that help recruit ambassadors to participate, fundraise for the seminar, as well as provide an exceptional experience for ambassadors at the seminar.
- Must be 20 years of age or younger at the time of the seminar.
- Facilitators
- Responsible for facilitating and mentoring a group of 8-12 ambassadors at the seminar, as well as helping with various seminar preparation activities.
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of the seminar.
- Seminar Planning Committee (SPC)
- Responsible for planning and executing the HOBY Kansas seminar throughout the year. There are 15+ directors who are responsible for various aspects of the seminar.
- Must be 21 years of age or older at the time of the seminar.
